Dr.West appointed by the Royal College of Surgeons and American Council for Board Certification (ACFBC) as national chairman
East Earl, PA, December 8, 2004 -- Dr. Daniel T.West, R.C.R.D., F.R.C.C.M, D.C., director of East Earl Chiropractic and
of Non-Surgical Associates of Lancaster, and director and vice-president of M.U.A. Associates of Pennsylvania was
appointed president and chairman of the board by the Royal College of Surgeons and the American Council for Board
Certification. Dr.West was chosen by these two distinguished medical and educational institutions to create the first
specialty chiropractic board certification program in the world. The ACFBC and Royal College of Surgeons is the same
body and institution that board certifies the medical professionals in their designated specialties, (i.e., minimally invasive
spinal surgery, neurosurgery, minimally invasive surgery and research, and general surgery, etc.).
Dr.West of East Earl is the first chiropractor to ever be selected to be a board chair and to be inducted into the Royal
College of Surgeons as well as board certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia as of December 6, 2004. Dr.West was
chosen out of a worldwide pool of nominated physicians in his specialty. He now has been given the authority to create
an executive board, all board certification testing requirements, publication requirements, and educational requirements
for board certification and to select and create any and all future board certification programs as well as PhD programs
for the Royal College of Surgeons and ACFBC in his field of specialty.
The Royal College of Surgeons is one of the oldest, most prestigious, and exclusive medical institutions in the world.
It only admits the most distinguished, eminent, and honorable practitioners of medicine and surgery. Founded in 1654
in England, there are now colleges in Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Canada, and Thailand.
Not only is the admission of Dr.West such a prestigious honor but it is nearly unheard of for a chiropractor to be board
certified and to be appointed a chairman of such a long-standing and exclusive medical institution.
Dr.West has over sixteen years of experience. He graduated Palmer College of Chiropractic, 1987. He holds a
post-graduate Doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with
Honors in 1987. He is also a graduate with Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University and Palmer College
of Chiropractic.
He is a recognized Chiropractic Rehabilitation Doctor (1995) and has completed further education for The Council on
Chiropractic Education and American Chiropractic Association Approved Rehabilitation Diplomat Program.
West has a master's certification in spinal acceleration-deceleration injuries, in cervical spine whiplash and in spinal
trauma from San Diego Spinal Rehab Institute and is certified by Pettibon Spinal Bio-Mechanics Institute in spinal
bio-mechanics.
Dr.West holds a MUA certification from the National College of Chiropractic. He is the author of multiple published
articles on MUA and spinal rehab, and has spoken and lectured extensively nationwide on MUA, rehabilitation, and
spinal bio-mechanics.
