Local Chiropractor Receives High Honors

East Earl, PA, May 23, 2007 -- Daniel T. West, D.C., R.C.R.D., F.A.B.C.S., F.R.C.C.M. was recently appointed to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Advisory Board for Chiropractic Specialists. In addition, Dr. West was promoted to full Professor by American International University for teaching chiropractors, neurosurgeons, orthopedics and pain management specialists pioneering advancements between the medical and chiropractic professions.

The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons is the most prestigious, exclusive, and oldest medical institution in the world. The British started the first Royal College in the year 1645, and admitted the most famous doctors, who in turn, trained selected but few other physicians, and honored them with distinct titles signifying membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), as well as the College of Surgeons (MRCS etc...). The following countries have a Royal College: United States of America (U.S.A.), England, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Thailand, etc. These are sister colleges and are independent of one another. The Royal College of the U.S.A. emphasizes quality of health care delivery, a commitment to continuing education, and the use of science and art of medicine and surgery to benefit others. Dr. West presented a paper at the recent International Conference on "M.U.A. in Modern Pain Management" and gave the 2007 national written and oral examinations to prospective board-certified physicians.

Dr.West appointed by the Royal College of Surgeons and American Council for Board Certification (ACFBC) as national chairman

East Earl, PA, December 8, 2004 -- Dr. Daniel T.West, R.C.R.D., F.R.C.C.M, D.C., director of East Earl Chiropractic and of Non-Surgical Associates of Lancaster, and director and vice-president of M.U.A. Associates of Pennsylvania was appointed president and chairman of the board by the Royal College of Surgeons and the American Council for Board Certification. Dr.West was chosen by these two distinguished medical and educational institutions to create the first specialty chiropractic board certification program in the world. The ACFBC and Royal College of Surgeons is the same body and institution that board certifies the medical professionals in their designated specialties, (i.e., minimally invasive spinal surgery, neurosurgery, minimally invasive surgery and research, and general surgery, etc.).

Dr.West of East Earl is the first chiropractor to ever be selected to be a board chair and to be inducted into the Royal College of Surgeons as well as board certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia as of December 6, 2004. Dr.West was chosen out of a worldwide pool of nominated physicians in his specialty. He now has been given the authority to create an executive board, all board certification testing requirements, publication requirements, and educational requirements for board certification and to select and create any and all future board certification programs as well as PhD programs for the Royal College of Surgeons and ACFBC in his field of specialty.

The Royal College of Surgeons is one of the oldest, most prestigious, and exclusive medical institutions in the world. It only admits the most distinguished, eminent, and honorable practitioners of medicine and surgery. Founded in 1654 in England, there are now colleges in Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Canada, and Thailand.

Not only is the admission of Dr.West such a prestigious honor but it is nearly unheard of for a chiropractor to be board certified and to be appointed a chairman of such a long-standing and exclusive medical institution.

Dr.West has over sixteen years of experience. He graduated Palmer College of Chiropractic, 1987. He holds a post-graduate Doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors in 1987. He is also a graduate with Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University and Palmer College of Chiropractic.

He is a recognized Chiropractic Rehabilitation Doctor (1995) and has completed further education for The Council on Chiropractic Education and American Chiropractic Association Approved Rehabilitation Diplomat Program.

West has a master's certification in spinal acceleration-deceleration injuries, in cervical spine whiplash and in spinal trauma from San Diego Spinal Rehab Institute and is certified by Pettibon Spinal Bio-Mechanics Institute in spinal bio-mechanics.

Dr.West holds a MUA certification from the National College of Chiropractic. He is the author of multiple published articles on MUA and spinal rehab, and has spoken and lectured extensively nationwide on MUA, rehabilitation, and spinal bio-mechanics.
