How can chiropractic help with morning achiness associated with inflammatory conditions?

neck pain

Winter is soon approaching and with that being said we notice our joints are stiffer in the morning and take longer to warm up. A lot of this is associated with auto-immune disorders arising from various types of arthritis including rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, psoriasis, and other inflammatory conditions. When our bodies face the colder weather, it is the bodies’ innate reaction to go into vasoconstriction meaning the vascular flow to our organs, muscles, and tissues will be reduced or slowed down. Because of this, it is even more important to make sure our joints are moving properly, our muscles are in a non-hypertonic phase, and our ligaments are allowing room for elasticity. The best way to take care of our joints is number one; you are doing the right stretches in the morning, keeping mobile, making sure our bodies are getting the proper input from the foods we eat, and of course getting regular adjustments to make sure we are not losing any mobility. The reason chiropractic adjustments are even more important in the winter months is because during this time like I had mentioned above, our bodies want to stiffen up to save energy and this results in tighter muscles, decreased elasticity in our ligaments, and poor joint movement. A chiropractic adjustment will help improve all three of those areas and also most importantly ensure proper neurological flow. So now that we see how an adjustment can help with morning achiness, what do you guys think are some stretches that would be a great way to start the morning and help loosen up those tight muscles? Also, do you guys think there is anything we can change in our diet to possibly help reduce achiness?
